Meticulously hand-stitched embroidered pendant, set in a leaf-shaped wooden frame, covered with black velvet.
This white snake and flower design has been created using high-quality cotton threads, stitched on black cotton fabric. This design was free-drawn by hand onto the fabric and is a fully original, one-of-a-kind piece. The image was then brought to life using a variety of hand-embroidery stitches and techniques.
The wooden frame has been sanded, stained, and sealed with pure beeswax, then covered on the front and edges with black velvet. The back of the pendant remains exposed wood, finished matte and smooth but remains slightly textured, so the natural quality of the wood shines through.
As with all pieces of wearable fiber art, care must be taken to avoid getting the pendant damp or wet and jewelry should not be worn for sleeping. If embroidery becomes slightly dusty, it can be carefully cleaned with a small piece of tape or a sticky lint roller.
